The Foundation

Mission Statement

The mission of Fontana Library Foundation is to:

  • focus public attention on the availability of library facilities and services within the City of Fontana;
  • encourage increased utilization of library facilities and services within the City of Fontana;
  • launch and oversee the $20 million capital campaign;
  • recruit volunteers to help support the capital campaign;
  • create and implement a sustaining campaign to support the library;
  • encourage gifts of books, magazines, local historical items, and other library related materials to libraries within the City of Fontana;
  • establish endowment funds and other funding vehicles in furtherance of the purposes for which the Library Division is formed; and
  • receive, invest, and utilize funds and property acquired through loans and solicitations of contributions, donations, grants, gifts, bequests, and the like for the purposes for which the Library Division is formed.
