FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASEFontana Library Foundation raffles off a motorcycle, street sign and helicpoter rideFONTANA, CALIF. – On July 4, 2007, the Fontana Library Foundation will hold a raffle drawing at the City of Fontana’s Annual 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular Celebration. The tickets are $25 each, and all proceeds will benefit the Fontana Library Foundation and the Lewis Library and Technology Center. The grand prize for this raffle is a new Kenny Bartram Suzuki RM250, valued at $7,000. The second place prize is a City of Fontana street sign named in the winner’s honor, which is valued at $4,000. The third place prize will be a four-hour helicopter ride and lunch with the City of Fontana Chief of Police, valued at $500. Five hundred tickets will be sold for this raffle, and there are a number of ways to obtain them. Tickets can be purchased at the Fontana Library Foundation headquarters, located at 8334 Emerald Ave in Fontana, Monday to Thursday; 8 am to 5 pm. Tickets are also available by mail. Please send in a completed entry form, which can be downloaded www.fontanalibrary.org/raffle, and a check for $25 for each ticket to Fontana Library Foundation, 8353 Sierra Ave., Fontana, CA, 92335. Raffle tickets will also be available at the 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular Celebration, prior to the raffle drawing. They will be sold at the Fontana Library Foundation booth until 6:30 pm. The raffle drawing to select the three winners will be held at 7:00 pm at the booth. Winners need not be present to win. Set to open in the spring of 2008, the new, 93,000-square-foot, state of the art Lewis Library and Technology Center is currently under construction and will be a place where people can meet, study, read, attend programs, and engage in a variety of other lifelong learning opportunities. The library will feature a children’s storytelling center, homework center, literacy center, career center, 330-seat auditorium, clock tower, young adult cyber cafe, coffee bar, and a local history and genealogy room.
